Dining - Arizona Christian University

Commuters, Staff and Faculty!

Did you know that you don’t need to have a meal plan in order to eat on campus? Everyone is welcome to dine at any of the campus dining areas, including the Commons and Tower Grill.

Student Meal Plans

The dining experience is an important part of any college student’s life. At the Commons and Tower Grill, it is our goal to be the best restaurant in town, bringing you together with friends to enjoy a healthy and flavorful meal.

All meal plans can be purchased through the Residence Life Office.

Dining FAQ

What are FLEX dollars?

Similar to cash, Flex Dollars are pre-paid dollars tied to your meal plan that can be used for food and beverage purchases at the Commons, Tower Grill, vending machines, etc.  Each Meal Plan carries a certain amount of FLEX dollars each semester and must be used by the end of each semester. FLEX dollars do not “roll over” to the next semester. FLEX Dollars are accessed via your student ID on your Populi account at any register.  When you run out of FLEX Dollars, you may reload at any time. Residential meal plans have a combination of meals per week and FLEX dollars. The Commuter meal plan is strictly FLEX dollars ($300 per semester).

How do Commuter students sign up for a Commuter Meal Plan?

All full-time, traditional commuter students are automatically assigned and billed a Commuter Meal Plan each semester they are enrolled.  Commuter students can access their Flex dollars as soon as the semester begins. Commuter students may reload at any time.

Can I petition out of the Meal Plan?

All full-time campus students are required to carry a meal plan, whether they are living on-campus (residential) or living off-campus (commuter).  Only in rare and unique circumstances (e.g. extreme health related issues) would a student be exempt from carrying a meal plan. Students may submit a meal plan petition through the housing website or contacting [email protected].

As a Residential student, can I sign up for a Commuter Meal Plan?

No. All full-time students living on-campus are required to carry a residential meal plan (Meal Plan A or B).  Only Commuter Students are eligible for the Commuter Meal Plan.

As a Commuter student, can I sign up for a Residential Meal Plan?

Yes. Commuter Students are welcome to purchase a Residential Meal Plan (Meal Plan A or B).  Commuter students may apply for a Residential Meal Plan by submitting a meal plan application through the housing website or contacting [email protected].

Can I add to my FLEX dollars?

Yes, students and parents may add FLEX dollars to their student account at any time by purchasing at any on-campus register or contacting Sodexo at (602) 386-4119.
