Core Transferability

Transferability Plan for New Liberal Arts Curriculum

Arizona Christian University understands the demographic of its student body and that many students transfer to ACU from other institutions. To serve our transfer student population responsibly, the following chart outlines the transferability of courses taken at other institutions.

Under the CORE, some course requirements can be eligible to be fulfilled with transfer courses—such as ENG 101, ENG 102, COM 101, SCI 100, and the math courses. Because of their importance to the university’s academic identity, all students, regardless of transfer status, will be required to take LIA 101, LIA 102, and LIA 490. The only exception is if a transfer student has earned an Associate of Arts degree (AA) prior to transferring to the University. In that case, the student must only complete LIA 490 in the CORE. All students must complete 18 credits of Bible courses. The number of courses required of students from the HUM sequence will depend on the total number of units the transfers to the university as follows:

CORE Liberal Arts Courses taken by all ACU students, regardless of transfer status
