Arizona Christian University (ACU) and Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS) are excited to announce an academic collaboration that will allow ministry-minded students to graduate with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in just 5 years. This program will fast-track future Christian leaders in their journey to complete their education and enter full-time ministry equipped and empowered to serve the Kingdom.

“We are thrilled to enter into this great collaboration with one of the most biblically faithful and renowned seminaries in the world,” said ACU President Len Munsil. “The alignment between ACU and DTS is obvious, and this collaboration will provide a blessing for ministry-minded students looking to attend a theologically conservative university and seminary.”

ACU and DTS will offer students a 4+1 academic program that combines a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Biblical and Theological Studies from Arizona Christian University and a Master of Arts from Dallas Theological Seminary in one of several disciplines.

Students Will Save Time and Money

By leveraging dual credit and advance standing options, students will earn both an undergraduate and graduate degree in just 5 years, rather than the 6 years it would typically take to complete the same two programs. By eliminating that year of tuition and living expenses, participants will significantly lower the cost of their education and enter their chosen field with the financial freedom to pursue God’s calling on their lives.

“We are excited to partner with ACU to give students a faster and more affordable pathway to earning a seminary degree and entering the ministry field. We know that ACU students participating in this joint 4+1 program come to us prepared for seminary—having both a strong theological foundation and a heart for serving the Lord. This is truly a ‘win-win-win’ for the students, our institutions, and the Body of Christ,” stated George Hillman, Vice President for Education at Dallas Theological Seminary.

The ACU / DTS 4+1 program also offers a high degree of flexibility, with all courses from both institutions available both online and in-person at ACU’s campus in Glendale, Arizona.

U.S. News & World Report – the most respected and comprehensive college ranking system in the nation – ranked ACU as a Best College for the 4th straight year, and this year also ranked ACU the No. 1 “Best Undergraduate Teaching Institution” in the 15-state West region.

Dallas Theological Seminary is widely known as the “Gold Standard” in theological education, offering the most robust seminary courses and degrees available.  DTS is also one of the only remaining seminaries whose curriculum teaches from “all 66 books” of the Bible.
