Concentration in Industrial and Organizational Psychology

Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Psychology program is designed to equip graduates for continuing studies in various fields, and as practitioners and researchers dedicated to seeking, articulating, and disseminating biblical truth. The Psychology program has adopted the 5 major learning objectives recommended by the American Psychological Association. The 6th objective supports the mission of Arizona Christian University to train students with a biblical worldview.

Program Requirements: Maintain a GPA of 3.0.

 

Concentration in Industrial and Organizational Psychology

The major in Psychology with a Concentration in Industrial and Organizational (I-O) Psychology equips students with the tools to optimize human performance and well-being within organizational settings. By blending psychology and business, students will learn how to improve employee satisfaction, boost productivity, and enhance overall organizational success.

 

Psychology/Concentration in Industrial and Organizational Psychology Program Learning Goals

Students will be able to:

  • Describe key concepts and principles of Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
  • Evaluate organizational structure and effective implementation of group cohesion.
  • Assess ethical concerns presented in an organization.

I-O psychologists apply scientific principles to address challenges such as recruitment, training, leadership development, job design, and organizational culture. This degree prepares students for a variety of roles in human resources, consulting, research, and academia.
