Biography and Professional Achievements
Professor Sonstroem taught history at the high school level for eight years until joining the Arizona Christian University (at that time Southwestern College) faculty as an adjunct professor in 2010. He currently serves as an assistant professor of communication
His teaching responsibilities include Introduction to Film, Film History, Film Criticism, Screenwriting, Redemptive Narratives in Film, Faith and Film, the Fantasy Genre, Politics in Film, Public Speaking, Introduction to Communication and Communication Theory. He has also taught classes in World History, US History, Geography, Political Ideologies and American Government.
Professor Sonstroem and his wife Erin are blessed to be parents to their daughter, Darrah and are committed to raising her to love Jesus. In addition to spending time with his family. Professor Sonstroem enjoys watching movies, hiking, biking and a variety of other sports. He takes advantage of just about any opportunity to get outside and enjoy the outdoor life of Phoenix.
