Christopher Beck (2023) VP at Beck Build LLC

From Blueprints to Business: Building Beck Build with Purpose

When Beck graduated from Arizona Christian University in 2023 with his BS in Business Administration-concentration in entrepreneurship, he wasn’t entirely sure what the future held—only that business ownership was always part of the dream. Fast-forward to today, and that dream is a reality. As Part-Owner and Vice President of Beck Build, Chris is redefining what it means to run a construction business with integrity, innovation, and intention.

I always knew I wanted to own a business,” he shares, “but I didn’t know what kind.”

Growing up around general contractors and interning in the industry gave Chris early exposure to the world of construction. After experimenting with a supplement startup in college, he realized retail wasn’t the right fit—too little balance, not enough fulfillment. What he craved was a service-oriented path, and construction checked every box.

The turning point came when his dad’s old company downsized and eliminated his position from a long-time role. Instead of retreating, the two leaned in—and launched Beck Build seven months ago. Now, a typical day for Chris is a balance of project estimates, job site management, marketing, and relationship-building.

Faith, Family, and Perspective

Like many entrepreneurs, self-doubt was an early hurdle.  What helped Chris push through this self-doubt? Faith,  mentorship, and staying grounded.  “Most people have the bandwidth to do what they want—but  doubt gets in the way. My faith, honesty, and integrity helped  me overcome that.”  His time at ACU also equipped him with lasting tools—public speaking skills for client presentations, strong relationships with peers and professors, and a network that still supports him today. Mentors played a pivotal role in shaping his mindset. From multiple business and Bible professors to internship supervisors, Chris absorbed wisdom he still carries.

“Ask your professors 100 questions. Don’t network just to network—build real relationships.”

His message to students still figuring it out?

“Try everything. Take the plunge. Your career matters—but it’s not the most important thing. Be curious, stay humble, and don’t let stress take the joy out of learning. It’s not that serious”  As a business owner, Chris brings transparency, empathy, and faith to every client interaction. “Everything we do is for people—and ultimately, for God. If I can be someone others trust, even in an industry that doesn’t always prioritize that, then I’m doing my part to transform the culture with truth.”
