Covered Student Veterans Programs

ACU is approved as a degree-granting institution for the attendance of veterans under Title 38, U.S. Code and active duty military members under the Department of Defense Tuition Assistance Program.

Note: If an eligible Service member decides to use Tuition assistance (TA), educational institutions will enroll him or her only after the TA is approved by the individual’s Service.

Complete Application

Complete and submit your official application for admission which includes the required essay.

Submit an official transcript

Confirm with your Recruiter/EMS that your official transcript has been received and complete any additional financial aid documents required.

Admissions Requirements

Note: These requirements are for veteran and active military college students

  • The student must be an evangelical believer in the Christian faith – this will be articulated in the personal essay of the application. You will describe your relationship with Christ and discuss your spiritual growth.
  • The student must have at least a 2.0 GPA.

Yellow Ribbon Program

ACU is a Yellow Ribbon participating school. The program is a provision of the Chapter 33 – Post-9/11 GI Bill. Institutions of higher education voluntarily enter into a Yellow Ribbon Agreement with VA and choose the amount of tuition and fees that will be contributed. VA matches that amount and issues payments directly to the institution. ACU offers unlimited scholarship funds available for your education without an additional charge to your GI Bill entitlement.

ACU accepts military credits from Navy/Marine Corps SMARTS, Army AARTS, and the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF).

WHAT PAPERWORK IS REQUIRED?
A copy of your completed VA paperwork is required. If you apply for the Post 9/11 GI Bill, please also submit your Certificate of Eligibility (COE). You will received your COE upon completion of the VONAPP via mail.
IS THE FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID (FAFSA) REQUIRED?
No, but it is available for those who qualify and choose use it. Be sure to list ACU (code 007113) on the FAFSA when prompted.
HOW DO I PROVIDE MY OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS?
Once you submit your application, your Enrollment Management Specialist will help you with the official request process.

SHOULD I SUBMIT ANY ADDITIONAL MATERIALS WITH MY APPLICATION?
Yes, the application will also include a written statement of faith essay. Ensure you provide all college credits, including community college, university, police and fire credits for review.
