Homecoming Week 2025 at Arizona Christian University delivered everything students, families, and alumni hope for: community, celebration, spiritual growth, and big wins for the Firestorm.

A Packed Week of Fun and Firestorm Spirit

Students built momentum all week long with a full lineup of Spirit Week events.

Monday: Friendsgiving at the Pavilion
The week started with long tables, filled with good food and gratitude shared among friends.

Tuesday: Powder Puff Football
Students jumped into coaching, competing, or cheering on their favorite teams in one of the most beloved Homecoming traditions.

Wednesday: Fall Hall Dodgeball
Dorm pride filled the gym as teams battled it out in a high-energy showdown.

Thursday: Encounter Worship Night
Students filled the Pavilion for a powerful night of prayer and worship, refocusing hearts on Jesus in the middle of all the excitement.

Friday: Business Leadership Panel + Men’s Basketball
Business leadership friends of the University shared practical wisdom on living out a biblical worldview in the workplace. Students carried that encouragement straight into the stands to cheer on the Men’s Basketball team to victory 91-68 over Bushnell University.

Homecoming Saturday: Tailgate, Community, and Big Victories

The Tower Lawn turned into a festival of Firestorm enthusiasm during the Family Tailgate, where alumni and current families came together for good food, and activities for all ages. Conversations were easy, familiar, and full of laughter. We honored our alumni of the year Carol Mertz Tetzlaff, Class of 1994 and heard astounding results from President Len Munsil on the results of the Christian Worldview Inventory taken by ACU students over the past 6 years. From there, the Firestorm family headed out to cheer on the athletes who capped the day with big wins.
• The Men’s Football team closed their season with a strong victory in an action-packed high scoring game 46-39 over Simpson University.
• The Women’s Basketball team kept the energy going with a 76-62 win over Benedictine University Mesa.

A Meaningful Pause Before Finals

As students look toward the end of the semester, Homecoming Week offered a reminder of what makes ACU special: community rooted in faith, built on joy, and strengthened through shared experiences.

It was a week to remember and a celebration that keeps the Firestorm family connected across generations.
