Arizona Christian University’s Glendale campus is alive with excitement as we kick off the fall semester. From the moment students arrived, the atmosphere has been electric—with faculty, staff, and student leaders creating a warm and unforgettable welcome for both the new and returning Firestorm family.

Move-In Day: More Than Just Unpacking

Move-In Day has become one of ACU’s most cherished traditions. As new students and their families pulled onto campus, they were met with a team ready to serve—helping unload vehicles, walk students through the registration process, and settle them into their residence halls.

Parents also had the opportunity to attend an orientation session, where President Len Munsil and representatives from Campus Safety, Residence Life, Athletics, Academics, and Enrollment, shared how ACU nurtures student development and spiritual growth. It’s more than just logistics—it’s about creating a community grounded in faith from day one.

Welcome Week: The Official Start to Life at ACU

Welcome Week set the tone for what life at ACU is all about—faith, meaningful connections and fun activities. New and returning students jumped right into a full slate of exciting events designed to build friendships and help them feel right at home, including:

  • Firestorm Roundup – A lively Western-themed night with games, music, and opportunities to get plugged in with campus life.
  • Clash N’ Bowl – A late-night bowling event lit up with music, energy, and friendly competition.
  • Water Palooza – A campus-wide splash fest filled with water games, inflatable slides, and plenty of laughs.
  • Field Night – An evening of team-building challenges, relays, and pure Firestorm spirit on full display.
  • LAUNCH – Spiritual Life has LAUNCH: Worship Night Sunday at 7PM and every night for a week straight!

Welcome Week is more than just fun—it’s the beginning of a journey. It gives students a chance to connect, explore, and step confidently into their new chapter at ACU.

A University That Stands for Something

While students are drawn to our vibrant campus and strong sense of community, what truly sets ACU apart is our unwavering commitment to a biblically grounded education.

“ACU is rooted in a culturally and theologically conservative approach to higher education,” said Jeff Rutter, Vice President of Athletic Enrollment and Student Clubs. “Families are looking for a university that boldly lives out its Christian values. And our size allows students to truly be known, mentored, and supported. At ACU, nobody gets lost in the crowd.”

To our newest Firestorm students and families—welcome to a community where your faith, future, and friendships will thrive. This is the start of something life changing!
