As we look back on the recent Sanctity of Life Week at Arizona Christian University, we are filled with gratitude for our incredible and dedicated community here on campus. Throughout this week, our university united in our dedication to defending the sanctity of every human life, beginning at conception.
Sanctity of Life Week brings attention to the injustices carried out against the babies in the womb everyday. We celebrated the biblical teaching that every individual is created in the image of God, with inherent dignity and worth. This foundational understanding fueled our passion for advocating on behalf of the unborn.
Activities of Sanctity of Life Week
Throughout the week, our campus hosted events designed to raise awareness, educate, and foster support for the pro-life cause.
Chalk the Pavilion
We kicked off the week by encouraging our students and staff to write thoughtful messages in chalk in the center of campus. This served as a visual reminder of our commitment to the sanctity of life. Students came together to share uplifting messages, write down verses, and spark conversations about the pro-life cause.
T-shirt Tuesday
On T-shirt Tuesday, our campus was filled with pro-life gear as students proudly displayed their support for the sanctity of life. This served as a visible testament to our dedication to defending the rights of the unborn.
Unplanned Movie Showing
On Wednesday we gathered for a screening of the powerful movie “Unplanned.” This thought-provoking film gave us a glimpse into the realities of abortion. The movie prompted meaningful discussions about the sanctity of life and the importance of advocacy.
Pro-Life Table Fair and Worship Night
Thursday was dedicated to engaging with the pro-life cause on a deeper level. A Pro-Life Table Fair provided information and resources for students interested in learning more about the issue.
Later that night, we hosted our monthly worship night focused on the sanctity of life. Encounter offered a space for testimonies and worship from our current students and alumni.
Prayer Walk to Planned Parenthood
The week concluded with a Prayer Walk to Planned Parenthood. Students joined together to pray for the unborn as well as those who walk through the painful experience of abortion. As our students walked, they reflected on the importance of standing up for the sanctity of life and prayed for the end of abortion.
Support for Pregnancy Centers
A notable highlight of Sanctity of Life Week was our collective effort to support local pregnancy centers, including Choices Pregnancy Center. Through generous donations and heartfelt messages, we demonstrated our solidarity with those facing unplanned pregnancies, offering tangible support and hope in their time of need.
Sanctity of Life Week was a testament to the power of unity in the Spirit, compassion for others, and an unwavering commitment to the defense of every human life. As we reflect on the events that transpired, we are reminded of the profound impact we can achieve when we stand together. Thank you for joining us as we constantly advocate for the protection and dignity of all human life.
