Meet Camryn, the newest “face” in our #FirestormFaces series.

Camryn is a Senior at ACU and is double majoring in Secondary Education and Biblical Studies. In addition to her academic work, Camryn is a member of our ACU Women’s Swim Team and a Resident Assistant for our Residence life team.

Camryn chose to come to ACU because she knew she wanted to study in Arizona and be in a place where she would learn more about God’s word. After hearing that ACU had recently started a Women’s Swimming Team, she visited the campus and immediately fell in love with ACU.

Camryn is known around campus for her gentle spirit and kind heart, and she brightens every room she’s in! In her time at ACU, Camryn has learned that authenticity is integral to her relationship with Christ. Early in her walk with God she had struggled with the pressure of feeling like she had to be perfect. But while at ACU she found that she is loved for who she is in Christ, and that God wants her to surrender her entire self to Him, imperfections and all.

While Camryn is not certain where God is calling her after graduation, she hopes to continue to work with women to help equip them to live a life in pursuit of Jesus. Camryn’s dream job is to one day work at a local church in women’s ministry, where she can serve and empower other women to be more like their Savior.

“One of my spiritual gifts is hospitality, and I get to use that gift every day as an RA for freshmen women on campus,” said Camryn. “I love that I get to walk alongside those women, and I’m excited to see what God has for me and where he takes me in the future!”
