What a joy it was to celebrate the dedication of the Doerksen Business Office!
The Doerksen family has played an integral role in the growth of ACU/SWC, and it was a privilege to gather together to celebrate their incredible legacy of services to this institution.
Arnie Doerksen came to Southwestern College in 1982 and served in multiple key administrative roles for almost 25 years. He and Gail were instrumental in shepherding the institution through some challenging times, and were responsible for spearheading the construction of two key buildings on our former campus.
The Doerksen’s legacy, however, will long outlive any building or institution. Arnie’s servant’s heart, humble spirit, and willingness to do whatever it took to serve the students of SWC will echo for eternity through the lives he influenced.
Arnie and Gail serve as a beautiful example of what it means to transform culture with truth. Their love of others and selflessness laid the foundation for what ACU has become, and it was our privilege to celebrate them through this dedication ceremony.
