As the 2021 academic calendar came to a close, ACU students and some professors and staff spent the Friday before finals relieving stress through ACU’s first annual Firestorm Field Day!
Firestorm Field Day was organized and sponsored by the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) at ACU, which promotes school spirit, encourages participation at sporting events, and helps to recognize the athletic and academic achievements of student athletes.
ACU Junior Jordan Clayton stated, “The focus of Firestorm Field Day is to enhance the overall ACU student-athlete experience by building community between athletes of all sports, the broader ACU family, and local neighboring communities.”
By all accounts, Firestorm Field Day was a success. From kickball to spike ball to snow cones, it was a day for the books. Participation was high for this family-friendly outdoor extravaganza, and there are already plans for two more of them in the coming year!
