One of ACU’s Core Commitments is promoting the sanctity of human life.

In accordance with that core commitment, on February 18 more than 30 students, faculty and staff partnered with 40 Days for Life on a prayer walk from the ACU campus to a local abortion clinic.

Student leader Renee Baillie stated, “…we’re going to pray for the lives that are lost in there, for the women that are hurting, that God would be evident and present in that place.”

Our students and staff spent time outside the building praying for the women and families inside, as well as for the Holy Spirit to inspire a cultural awakening of the need to protect human life from conception to natural death. ⠀

“It was very encouraging to be with others from ACU and the community to pray. Praying peacefully was an acknowledgement that we were depending on God, not ourselves, to bring about change and save lives. I was excited to hear stories from others about how God is already working at this specific Planned Parenthood!” stated one ACU staff member.

The event marked the first of 40 straight days of prayer for the end of abortion across our nation. Knowing that “with God, all things are possible,” people of faith and conscience across the country are joining together on a 40-day prayer vigil outside local abortion clinics.

God has used 40 Days for Life to establish a proven track record of saving lives and closing abortion facilities in over 1000 cities in 63 countries.

The Lord is moving through prayer and we invite you to join our Firestorm family in praying for LIFE.
