Debbie and her husband Dean met at Southwestern College and were married in 1983. Throughout the years, while they never felt led or called to be in full time ministry, the Coxes were always active in their local church.

Debbie worked in AWANA as a leader and secretary, and she and Dean also served on the AWANA Board for the State of Arizona.

Debbie was known for helping anywhere she was needed at her local church, including various roles in both the women’s and children’s ministries.

She did all this while also managing a career at Specialized Office Systems where she started as a customer service rep and then moved into full time sales, where she flourished. She attributed her gift for sales to her father, who also worked in that field.

According to her husband, Dean, Debbie’s biggest desire in life was to “just be what God wanted her to be and to show and share [about Him] with others that she came in contact with.” She was a loving wife, mother, and was known for her easygoing personality and joyful spirit.

Our prayers are with Dean and the rest of the Cox family as they grieve her passing while celebrating her reunion with her beloved Savior.
