New and returning students were welcomed back to campus for the Spring semester in January by an array of events and celebrations.
The centerpiece of Welcome Week was our first chapel of the Spring semester, held outdoors on our new turf football field. Students engaged in worship, prayed over one another, and were challenged by Campus Pastor Jason Hubbard to “fix their eyes on Jesus and prayerfully identify the areas in which they need to change in order to walk more closely in fellowship with Him.”
Students were also given the opportunity to engage in a number of fun (and occasionally unconventional) community-building activities throughout the week. From “Kampfire Karaoke” to “Clash and Bowl” and an outdoor game night, students enjoyed making memories with new friends and old ones as they kicked off the semester in style.
We are grateful that our Firestorm Family was able to experience these times of connection and community, and for the enduring friendships that are made during our students’ time here at ACU.
