This Friday, March 20th, the Arizona Christian University community will disperse around the Phoenix area to serve the city in various capacities. Once a year, ACU cancels classes so that students are free to participate in this university tradition.
“Day of Outreach at ACU is a great opportunity to have the entire student body come together for one goal: to serve,” said Justine Bunger, ACU’s Director of Spiritual Life. “I haven’t heard of any other university that literally cancels classes in order to serve the community together. It is an honor to work at a university that values service as much as ACU does.”
At this year’s Day of Outreach, ACU students will be serving at the following locations:
Apprenticeship to Jesus
Christian Family Care Thrift Store
Feed My Starving Children
House of Refuge
Paradise Valley Retirement Center
St. Mary’s Food Bank
The Rock at 32nd St.
