Dr. Steve Adamson, a seasoned corporate and academic manager with global experience, is the Provost and Chief Operating Officer of Arizona Christian University. Steve’s academic career includes previous positions as a seminary Provost, Executive Director for an accrediting organization, distance education dean for a start-up Bible college, professor, and online instructor. In addition to being an academic, Steve has a Master of Divinity, and along with his wife Von, enjoyed serving as a supply minister for numerous churches in the Scottish Highlands and Prince Edward Island, Canada.

Jeff Phillips, M.Div.

After serving in Christian ministry for 12 years, including helping to plant churches in New Zealand and Florida, Jeff Phillips returned to Arizona to earn his Master of Divinity from Phoenix Seminary. After graduating, Phillips brought his passion for teaching to ACU, where he has taught Greek, Theology, Old Testament, New Testament, and various Bible intensive classes, and he continues to work in pastoral ministry. Phillips is married and has four children.

Steven Rutt, Ph.D.

Rev. Dr. Steven Rutt is an Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies at Arizona Christian University. Dr. Rutt has 42 years of international ministry experience within 14 countries—such as, New Zealand, various countries in Eastern and Western Europe, Canada, England, Scotland—where he served as a missionary teacher, church planter, principal, seminary professor and basketball coach. Before he came to ACU in 2013, he completed his doctoral work in Missiology (Christian Mission) after four years of archival research at Rhodes House, Oxford, and subsequently, earned his PhD in Religious Studies from the University of Lancaster, England. He remains a lecturer in Missiology for the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies (Oxford, UK) and the Reformed Episcopal Seminary (Philadelphia). Also, he is president and founder of Covenant Renewal Ministries, Inc., a non-profit evangelistic/missional organization designed to work with indigenous churches internationally, as well as, supporting Steven to speak at seminaries and conferences.
