J Term or Winter Intersession at ACU offers a unique opportunity for students to try new courses on topics of current interest, conduct research with faculty or participate in a study abroad program. Winter Intersession is the perfect time to get ahead on your college course work or visit a foreign country. The fast pace and shortened schedule allows you to focus on just one class, immersing yourself in the subject.  This often makes completing a difficult class more doable. It can also make your regular semester load lighter.

So join with other ACU students who have made the smart decision to earn credit this winter break. Winter Intersession at ACU will be January 3 – 24, 2013 (no classes on January 21, Martin Luther King Day). Winter Intersession courses are open to current and visiting students. Students may take a maximum of 6 credits per session. Permission to take more than two courses or 6 credit hours per session must be obtained from the academic dean.

You can sign up for classes in Science, History, Mathematics, Media Studies, Bible, Politics and many others that are part of the General Studies or Major and Minor requirements. Intensive seminars and interdisciplinary include courses such as Relational Communication and Bioethics. New study abroad courses are currently being added, so please check our web site for updated destination information
